Terms and conditions
Last updated: 2026-08-29
These terms govern the relationship between “Aleko’s Projects” (the “Workshop”) and any person requesting a repair through this website or in person (the “Customer”).
1. Accepting a device
On submitting a request the Customer receives a service card number and a six-character PIN. These two values are the only way to check the status online. The PIN is shown once and cannot be recovered; the Workshop does not store it in readable form.
A device is considered accepted only once it has been physically handed over. An online request reserves a place in the queue but does not oblige the Workshop to carry out a repair before inspection.
2. Diagnostics and quote
Diagnostics is charged separately and is deducted from the final price if the Customer approves the repair. After diagnostics the Workshop provides a quote with a price and an estimated timeline. No repair begins without the Customer’s explicit approval.
If disassembly reveals further faults that change the price, the Workshop informs the Customer and waits for renewed approval.
3. Timelines
Stated timelines are estimates. Delays caused by parts availability, hidden faults or circumstances outside the Workshop’s control do not constitute non-performance.
4. Warranty
The Workshop provides a 6-month warranty on the work performed and the parts fitted. It does not cover:
- new physical damage, liquid ingress or improper use;
- intervention by another person or workshop after the repair;
- components other than those repaired or replaced;
- consumables and normal wear.
5. Irreparable devices
If a device cannot be repaired, the Customer pays only for diagnostics and receives the device back, disassembled components included.
6. Data on the device
The Workshop is not liable for loss of data, saved games or content held in internal memory or on cards. The Customer must back up before handing the device over.
7. Collection and storage
The Customer undertakes to collect the device within 60 days of being notified that it is ready. After that period the Workshop may charge a storage fee.
8. Payment
Payment is due on collection — cash, card on site, or bank transfer. The device is released once payment is confirmed.
9. Changes
The Workshop may update these terms. The terms in force for a given order are those published at the time the request was submitted.
